 As a hunter who regularly hunts by breaking the traditional ways of hunting deer, using decoys just seems a natural evolution of my deer hunting tactics. After all, I reasoned, the native American Indians used decoys quite successfully. In fact, archive photos and journals strongly support the fact that native American Indians used decoys for hunting deer. I have quietly used various hunting decoys for thirty years. Over the last ten years, however, I have also used full-sized deer decoys as well. In some instances, Full-sized decoys make deer nervous. Therefore, before deciding to use decoys to hunt whitetails, you should understand decoys take understanding of decoy tactics, patience, knowledge of deer and their behavior (especially related to other deer) and without question, you should have a lot of resourcefulness as a hunter.
